Shingo Sekiya

Born in the UK. A graduate of Keio University (BA and MA). Through Fulbright scholarship, attained MS in Urban Placemaking and Management from Pratt Institute in 2018. In Japan, he was involved in the reconstruction of Onagawa town in Miyagi prefecture. He also worked on planning consultancy firm, Regional Planning International based in Tokyo. In New York City, he worked for the Union Square Partnership, the oldest BID in the city as a design specialist for a half year. He also worked for WXY architecture + urban design as a planner involved in the public realm strategy of Downtown Brooklyn. On return to Japan, he established Place Solutions Group in Tokyo in 2019.

My role in Region Works is Place Design Management.
